ITHACA, N.Y. — After an exciting final day of the Ivy League Round-Robins, Columbia, Penn and Princeton shared the Ivy League championship, finishing in the first three-way tie since 2001.

The three way tie is the fifth all-time in League history, and the first time in Ancient Eight history that both the men’s and women’s titles were shared three ways.

Columbia rebounded from its day one loss to Penn by defeating Harvard and Brown on day two. The Lions showed their strength in saber, with Calvin Liang, Michael Costin, and Geoffrey Loss finishing second, third and fourth.

Penn went 2-0 on day two with wins over Yale and Harvard. Shaul Gordon was the saber individual champion after going 14-1 at the Round-Robins. Gordon had the best record of all male competitors during the event. The Quakers had three other top-three finishes, with John Vaiani placing third in foil and Justin Yoo and Zsombor Garzo sharing second in epee.

Peter Pak finished fifth in saber at 10-5, while Thomas Dudey and Wesley Johnson both finished in fourth in foil and epee, respectively.

Stephen Mageras of Harvard was the foil champion, finishing percentage points ahead of teammate Jerry Chang. Other notable performances came from Brown’s Samual Koch who finished 9-6, good for fourth overall in epee, and the Crimson’s Sasha Ryjik took sixth in saber at 9-5.
