Everton stars: ‘We are not Championship players’

 Everton winger Alex Iwobi believes they will not be relegated as they prepare to host Manchester United.

The Toffees have struggled in recent matches and since beating Newcastle United 1-0 in the middle of last month, they have suffered two consecutive defeats – against West Ham United and Burnley.

The result has sent Everton down to 17th in the table, though with nine games remaining of the season, Iwobi believes they have enough to avoid relegation: “The teams around us, like Burnley, are putting pressure on us and that makes things a little bit difficult, but it’s not going to stay that way.”

 Iwobi and Everton are having a difficult season.

“We have to keep going. We have nine games left and there’s a maximum of 27 points that we can get. We’re going to try and win every game, it’s not easy but but We have to win every game.”

“As players, we are not Championship players. We feel we have the ability to stay. We have to prove it to ourselves and prove it to others. fans and we’ll be fine.”

So far, Everton have got 7 wins, 4 draws and 18 losses.
