Pep Guardiola talks about confronting Ronaldo

After an explosive first time on his return to Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo has been in a really disappointing form lately with just one goal in 10 appearances in all competitions.

In the opinion of John Barnes, the reason why CR7 is struggling is the quality of the other players at Manchester United. Barnes said they did not provide enough scoring opportunities for Ronaldo. Talking to the Mirror, the former Liverpool player shared (quoted by Daily Mail):

“Ronaldo’s goalscoring record is fantastic for a player who is 37 years old, but I think if he had joined Man City he could have 25 goals now, because of the good players at the club. It’s going to be a lot easier to find Ronaldo on the pitch.”

Ronaldo was able to explode at Man City?

They will have the vision and technique to give Ronaldo the ball, whereas I think some players at Man United simply don’t have the vision to give him a chance.”

“There is another argument that Ronaldo’s legs are not what they used to be, and that he is not as fast as he was four or five years ago.”

“But I think what might disappoint Ronaldo is that he doesn’t get the ball as much as he used to, and people don’t find him on the pitch.”
