Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski speaks out about the support of VAR technology in football.
Leading the Bundesliga top scorer list with 19 goals, Robert Lewandowski is still considered one of the best strikers in Europe at the moment.
His high performance is the premise to help Bayern Munich stay ahead of the competition in the Silver Disk race, and at the same time make the Gray Lobster the strongest candidate for the Champions League title this season.
Recently, he was also honored by the Organizing Committee of the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards with 2 awards “Best Player of the Year voted by fans” and “Diego Maradona” award for the best goalscorer.
Notably, in a recent statement when asked about the utility that VAR technology brings to football, the Polish striker shared quite frankly and was not afraid to express his opinion that: “I have lost 1 quarter-final and 2 semi-finals of the Champions League because of referee mistakes.
If it weren’t for that, maybe me and my teammates could make it to the final and win the championship. Therefore, I think VAR is a good support for football if this technology is used effectively.”
