Gavi’s beautiful goal against Espanyol
Making a strong impression in the UEFA Nations League in the color of the Spain team, midfielder Gavi quickly attracted the attention of experts. The 17-year-old star is a mature product from the famous La Masia academy and is considered a key factor to help Barcelona soon reassert its position.
However, the Blaugrana boss is still quite worried about the future situation of this talent, especially when the contract between him and the club is only valid until the end of next summer.
Recently, Barca opened negotiations to tie Gavi’s feet with a long-term contract. However, Goal, citing El Nacional, revealed that the player born in 2004 had rejected the first offer from the host team.
This opens the door for Chelsea to approach Gavi. The Stamford Bridge team has long expressed its intention to recruit the Spaniard to refresh the midfield, in the context that pillars like Jorginho or N’Golo Kante have all turned 30.
According to El Nacional, the Blues are ready to make an offer for Gavi, but they will have to spend at least 50 million euros to convince the Barca leadership to let go.
